Selvamary M Krishna Muthy Has Won Women Film Producer of the Year

Ms. SELVAMARY M. KRISHNA MUTHY was born in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. She graduated from the Theatre Arts Academy, University  of Malaya with Bachelor of Honours. She had 25 years of experience in the Malaysia Film industry, she began her career as an actress in 1999 with Film Combine Malaysia. Later, she worked as a script editor and developer for several Tamil serial dramas.

In 2002, Ms. Selvamary founded her own production company, MSK Film Production Sdn. Bhd., in cooperation with the well-known film director Mr. M.S. Kalai. Since 2008, she has produced several TV dramas for Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and the Astro Channel. She is the producer of various TV dramas, telemovies, serials, and feature films. Her notable credits include producing 100 episodes of different television series such as "Kallori Pokkal" (Seasons 1 & 2), "Vayase Valibamey," "Nilave Nithalamey," "Velvi" (Seasons 1 & 2), "Magical Christmas," "Namathe Kalai Namathe Kalacharam," "Deepavali with Celebrity," and "Simfoni Merdeka Malaysia," among others. Her serial dramas have been broadcast across Malaysia and across the globe via online.

MSK Film Production Sdn. Bhd. also distributes Tamil theatre movies in Malaysia, including titles such as "Maryan," "Pizza," "Aanandha Thaandavam," "Vikram Movie 'I'," "Kandaen," "Kullanari Koottam," "Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom," "36 Vayadhinile," "Nedunchalai," "Athithi," "Thegadi," "Malini 22 Palayamkottai," "Imaikka Nodigal," "Mandhira Punnagai," "Jil Jung Juk," "Amma Kanakku," "Kaatrin Mozhi," "Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru," "Kutram 23," "Bahubali 2," "Neer Konda Parvai," and over 200 more movies.

Ms. Selvamary expresses that her best achievements have come from being part of a successful production team. She values the collaborative efforts and experiences of working with a diverse team of professionals, including Cameramen (D.O.P), Directors, Editors, Actors & Actress, Musicians, Light men, Soundmen, Art Directors, Creators, Scriptwriters, Production managers, and the entire team and more.

Additionally, Ms. Selvamary provides training in film, broadcasting, film editing, and talent development in collaboration with Finas Malaysia.

Looking ahead, she intends to further develop more talents and directors within the Malaysian film industry, fostering a new generation of creatives and industry leaders.
