Dr. Elaine Loo is an edupreneur, parenting coach, book author and researcher in the field of education. She has discovered that all humans need something to poetize and idealize their life which are beyond academic excellence. Talents should be discovered, excelled and appreciated. With such, she has given wholeheartedly to develop programs, constantly and persistently inspiring people throughout her walk of life.  However, education wasn’t her intentional career path, so what was her pivoting point. 

16 years ago, she was the first exclusive female student selected to undergo a fully sponsored Student Exchange Program to the UK. It was indeed an eye opener but at the same time she felt perplexed with the learning engagement. Local students there were actively participating in class, researching independently instead of waiting to be spoon-fed. They were outspoken and confident in conveying their messages and opinions; unlike her international Asian course mates who were reserved to speak up and to even struggle delivering a coherent thesis presentation. First rousing statement protruded in her mind: Must we Asians go through this path. Can we break the conventional mindset of ‘shy, low-confidence Asians’.

She underwent self-employment and ventured into the executive training industry. It was heart-breaking when she encountered many young adults who were directionless, lack confidence to pursue their dream, unhappy with their current work life, deficient of soft skill, poor family bonding and importantly without purpose in life. Along the way, she learned that in reality; certificate were not enough in today’s era. Thousands and thousands of graduates are ‘manufactured’ every year. In order to be outstanding, skills and attitude are utmost important, even potentially overtaking academics in near future. She asked 12 years ago, “Was there any way to close this gap” 

Hence, she founded ProMizzion in 2011 (formally known as Prokidz International Academy), a transformational platform to help teenagers excel their hidden potential and life direction. Many of her close friends and relatives were feeling baffled and even questioned her -- Why would a top achiever, possessing great ability in climbing the corporate ladder, thriving at the international arena with such confidence and skill, would want to nurture children. Juggling between personal mission and the burden of living, she realised that she has to make a decision. With such, she turned away from the conventional pathway. A First Class Degree Honor in Accounting & Finance to an unknown territory of Education? She took the leap eventually. 

She started to show high interest in human behaviour and educational psychology across nations and the international arena. She has attended many courses and seminars in different countries; she has researched renowned studies, she has uncovered many hidden techniques and ways that weren’t taught in our conventional school that could help children to learn happily and path their unique journey to be an outstanding person, living with their full potential and talent. Therefore, the confound question protruded in her mind, ‘What is the purpose of education’

This further motivated her to complete Doctorate in Education at the age of 28. She then founded De’Emcee, a platform for kids aged 5-8 with a mission to develop strong speaking foundation among young children in order to enrich their life. Many years into confidence and life-direction training for teenagers and kids, Dr. Elaine realised that to truly break the vicious cycle of ‘Imprisoned’ children and parents, she has to expand beyond her field of expertise to amplify the meaning of education to parents. She consolidated her education experiences and case studies through the book publication of Prison Child in 2017. 

Many book readers have come to realize that Dr. Elaine emphasizes heavily on having the children to develop their strengths. Because she believes that each child has his or her unique strengths and abilities. As what Albert Einstein said, “if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” If children discover their life mission and continue it with passion, they would definitely lead a meaningful and worthy life. 

She constantly delivers in her talks and seminars, as individuals tend to question that there wasn’t such a concept about life mission, self-worthiness in previous generations. Why now? Through her explanation, it wasn't a common thing as before the industrialization era, people were busy putting food on the table. When standard living is improving, more people are questioning life and how to live life better, instead of merely surviving. This is human advancement and more people are searching for this. Imagine, if parental education evolves nurturing children to develop their self-worth and advance humankind through their uniqueness and strengths, the world of diversity will illuminate the idea of helping others to improve their life interdependently. 

Dr. Elaine persisted as she truly witnessed how the positive growth of kids and parents in a family would bring vast impact to its surrounding societal impact. With the scrutinized scientific research on educational psychology with the combination of artistic parenting (as every child is unique), 21st century children are given the opportunity to be well developed with IQ – EQ - SQ and AQ. Mothers play an important role in the modern days, hence as a role model, she constantly advocates the importance of early childhood parental education. In fact, the continuation of life is the continuation of the parent’s wisdom from the current generation to the next. It is not the competition of wealth or fame, but the true realisation and liberation of oneself. Even if individuals are stay-at-home mothers, they too, can make a positive impact in the child’s life. 

This has become her motivating reason to participate in the Mrs Universe Malaysia beauty pageant in 2019 with the help of the media to spread her ideology. Everyone has a unique life.  She is doing her best to change the stereotype that mothers’ love means sacrifice but in fact mothers’ love starts from within.  The talent competition, a musical play she performed, has a profound message to all mothers to exemplify the art of living, allowing children to find themselves, to comprehend life, to irrigate love, and to benefit the society. Dr. Elaine was crowned three awards, “Best Wellness”, “Best Eloquence”, and “Best Talent”. Her message to mothers is ‘happy mother, happy children, not, happy children happy mother. 

Envisioning that the society will not advance without the foundation being uplifted – parents, she has been conducting parental education seminars and courses vigorously especially during the rise of Covid-19 pandemic.  Having achieved various significant milestones in life, currently, Dr. Elaine devotes her time in more expanded roles: founder of Scientific & Artistic Parentology, consultant, train-the trainer to uplift the nation starting from family, together with her second book, ‘Prison Parent’ published in 2020. 

With her unwavering life mission, all these relentless working stemmed from her inner desire to help others to change – to find their hidden potential and live life to their fullest.  Much appreciation in receiving “Women Change Maker Award” on behalf of the Woman Icon powered by Times Woman. It is a prestigious acknowledgment and serves as a fuelled motivation for Dr. Elaine to continue serving her strengths and passion to advance humankind.  Each one of us has the ability to change the world and make the world a better place. Seize the time and reveal the worth of one’s life.

Giving life is not merely about giving birth, it is to ignite a child's desire in making a positive difference in someone else's life.
