F.Farzana Abdeen has bagged Outstanding Women Leadership Award

“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible” 

My name is Mrs. Fathima Farzana Abdeen (Hamdoon). I was born and raised in the pearl of the Indian ocean known as Sri Lanka. I am a past pupil of Amina Girls’ National School Matale. As  for my higher studies I was chosen to study in Peradeniya University, later I completed my  Certificate in Pre School in 4 years and completed a Business and Advanced English course  at Open University, Kandy. 

For the Last 30 years I was an enthusiastic member, Secretary, and current President of  Amina Girls’ National School’s Old Girls’ Association. Also, I am an active member for 10  years and the 37th president district 322 of International Inner Wheel club. During My  school days I was told to be an extraordinary student as continuously 5 years head prefect,  Games captain, and t I was selected to All Island Javelin event for 2 years in a row, and I was  also a very good netball player and athlete. As of the Last 10 years to present time, I am a  Justice of peace on the Island. My aim is to continue to be an honest free-lance charity and  social worker. 

I am a mother of two beautiful children who are high achievers of their own accord, and a  grandmother to one! To me this is a great achievement and one to add to the books! I am  very honored to be nominated for a prestigious international award such as this, as this is a  huge achievement in my life. I’m simply over the moon to be a part of this event. It is  incredibly wonderful of you all to be doing these kinds of programs, for it surely encourages  and motivates us women to do more! Thank you so much once again “Women icon powered by Times women” 

Finally, I would like to thank my parents, my husband, my children, my father-in-law, and  colleagues, who are always there for me, especially my husband for supporting me through  thick and thin. Thank you everyone who was and is there for me, I sincerely hope you  continue to support me and help others.
