With limited resources but an abundance of ambition, Verusha, alongside her co-founder, her husband, laid the foundation for what would become a thriving, multi-dimensional enterprise. Through her leadership, the company has evolved far beyond its initial scope—transforming into a dynamic organisation with specialised divisions in construction, maintenance, consulting, waterproofing, painting, and property development.

Today, OSR Projects and Consulting holds a CIDB Level 5GB grading, demonstrating its capability to execute complex and large-scale projects. The company has successfully contributed to developments valued up to R24.3 million and has established a strong presence across KwaZulu-Natal. Verusha’s leadership has enabled the company to secure and manage multi-site maintenance programmes for high-profile clients, reflecting both operational excellence and trusted industry reputation.

A defining element of Verusha’s entrepreneurial journey is her ability to diversify and build sustainable business models. Beyond construction, she has successfully ventured into residential property development, overseeing the construction of 16 residential units. These properties form part of an active rental portfolio, which she personally manages—from tenant procurement and lease agreements to ongoing property management. This achievement reflects not only her construction expertise but also her strategic insight into long-term asset creation and financial sustainability.

Her business acumen extends further into consulting, where she operates as a Commercial Manager, providing expert guidance on financial structuring, contract management, and project viability. This role underscores her depth of knowledge and her ability to influence and strengthen projects beyond her own organisation.

What sets Verusha apart is her commitment to innovation within the construction industry. Recognising inefficiencies in traditional systems, she has conceptualised and implemented digital solutions that streamline operations and enhance client engagement. These include a maintenance management application for real-time service tracking, an attendance and requisition system linked to payroll processes, and a client interaction platform that improves communication and transparency. Through these innovations, she is not only building structures but transforming how the industry operates.

Her success is further anchored by a strong academic foundation. Verusha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law (cum laude), where she ranked among the Top 3 students nationally, earning recognition from the prestigious International Golden Key Honour Society. She is currently completing her LLB. This legal expertise enhances her ability to manage complex contracts, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance—providing a unique competitive advantage in her field.

In addition to her professional achievements, Verusha is deeply committed to social impact and empowerment. She is the founder of the FutureHer Initiative – Educating girls today for a brighter tomorrow, a future planned organisation dedicated to supporting the tertiary education of young women.
