Hello everyone, I am Salome Kareen. I am the Managing director of Shalom’s visa solutions private  Limited. which is a Travel consultancy firm in Srilanka, And the co-director of Drive me Lanka inbound  tourism company which I run with my husband. I came from a middle-class family where my parents struggled from the beginning to take me to a good position where I am now.  

I did my schooling at HOLY FAMILY CONVENT BAMBALAPITIYA, Sri Lanka I did my bachelors at Indra Gandhi open university Delhi.  And then I completed my airline ticketing and IATA Diploma in Louis Preston academy in Colombo 4 Sri Lanka.  

I am almost 8 years in this travel consultancy firm with a lot of happy customers.  

Women's empowerment may be defined in several ways, including accepting women's viewpoints or making an effort to seek them, raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and  training. 

We offer Consultation on traveling, Visa procedures, Tour Packages, Hotel Booking, visa extensions, and many more related to Traveling and Visas. 

Basically, my passion from school time was traveling the whole world, maybe because of that and also the god grace, I might have chosen this career in my life too. And yes, it is happening. 

At the age of 28 I am now a managing director and am proud to say that I am a woman who has been through many struggles and pains. Because the failures made me successful.  

It’s really great if somebody has good education, but I know from my own experience and my own life  and the other people I work with, that you don’t have to have a degree to have value, or to you know be of  tremendous worth to different businesses, that street smarts, that experience and this kind of internal and  kind of creative also respecting others make your way success too.  

My advice to the youngsters is never wait for someone to come and fix things for you because that is  never ever going to happen, believe in yourself because if you don’t know else will, and most importantly  to have something, a goal and ambition something that fires the flame of your soul something that you  work hard at dedicatedly, devotedly, single mindedly and achieve it.  

Lastly, I never forget the people who are at my back till now, have already supported me, my husband  and my Parents and also my very best friend who always motivates me whenever I am down with  issues.  

Today at this time I am really thankful for the woman icon powered by Times Woman and World Woman Council for Awarding me with, Outstanding Woman Leadership award which shows and encourages my  hard work in front of this world. And I am really excited to have this honor since its my first international award which is a best recognition for myself.
