Ts. Dr. Sharmini Gopinathan hails from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. She is currently attached to Multimedia University as a Senior Lecturer who lectures undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has worked in the capacity as a Head of Marketing and Operations in MMU’s Business School for 2 years. MMU Business School is a non-academic arm that deals with Professional Training for organisations. 

She is also an avid researcher in the field of work life balance and information systems. Having close to 27 years of experience in Training and Development along with highly rated management experience puts her in a position to understand the key role that various management and communication skills play in helping organisations achieve their business objectives. Her experience of having worked with large corporations, various international and local blends of individuals and students has given her an understanding of the nuances of working in a multi-cultural business environment. 

Ts. Dr. Sharmini is a certified HRDF trainer and her areas of expertise are; Leadership, Corporate Teambuilding, Presentation Skills, Sales & Success Mastery, Creative & Strategic Thinking and Communication Skills Programs. She is also well versed and certified in Design Thinking, Colored Brain Communication and Instructional Design. She possesses an in-depth understanding of some of the best practices of academic business in Malaysia and how they can be applied in other global business environments. 

She also shows great interest and passion in conducting motivational training for adults and school students in the past. Ts. Dr. Sharmini has won several awards for best paper publications as well as presentations on effective teaching with blended learning tools. Some of the awards won are: 

• Obtained a Gold Award for teaching using Blended Strategies organised by Adept
• Obtained a Bronze Award for teaching using Blended Strategies organised by USIM, Nilai
• Obtained the Best Paper Award for Conference paper presented at ISEB 2017 in Padang, Indonesia.
• Winner of the 7th Korea Inventor Award Festival 2018 - Order of Merit Category: Educational Development (only Malaysian in that category)
• Winner of Toronto International Society of Innovation and Advanced Skills (TISIAS) - Gold Award for Gamification in Education (Innovation and Commercialization of Gamification Apps)

Ts. Dr. Sharmini, firmly believes in the concept of Experiential Learning and conducts her programs filled with humour and fun activities. Participants attending her programs are always highly motivated and inspired to make improvements in their lives.
