I am Serki Lhamu Sherpa Chairperson Azizz Foundation. I was born (1983-04-08) in a small village In the Himalaya Of Nepal, Where i lived with my parents. My father was in the tourism sector while mother was a housewife. She also did farming to support her family. After my mother passed away I was brought to Kathmandu the capital city for better education supported by a kind hearted British couple, friends of my father. With time I realised how "ONE ACT OF KINDNESS CAN CHANGE A LIFE".” I started volunteering at different places. At the same time I was running a (Guest House) Azizz Restaurant and Rooms.

The WORD AZIZZ means SISTER'S in my native language (Sherpa). As I started charity works using my earnings from Azizz Restaurant & Rooms, words spread around and more and more needy people, especially the Schools from remote areas of Nepal approached for support. In the year 2016 /11/22 I registered with the Azizz Foundation under the Social Welfare Council. Although my Focus is on Child Education for those Economically Backward children & Rural Development with the rise of covid 19 cases I have made my work area flexible. I have worked as Vice President at NEKOS (Nepal Korean Culture Exchange) an non-governmental organisation based in Nepal (2014 – 2021).

Participate:

  • Seminar For Economic & Trade Officials Beijing China – 2015.
  • Asia Pacific Regional Conference by Good Deeds Day in Bangkok - 2019.

International Awards:

  • Good Deeds Day Leader in Nepal (2020-2021).

I am extremely honoured to receive the "Emerging Women Leader in Social Work Award" powered by Times Women. I am also thankful to Women Icon for providing me this recognition.
