I am truly honored to receive two very distinguished titles with Women Icon awards by times Women. It was such a pleasure to receive the news. I was so excited to see my name within the categories of Women’s Leadership and entrepreneur awards. I have bagged not one but 2 awards alhamdulillah. A Millennial Leader award and a “diversity and inclusiveness” award under the category of Women’s Entrepreneur Award. This merits my hard work in both categories. 

I strive to always produce content on my network, being inclusive of all races and backgrounds as well as always pushing my Millennial generation to do their best, not carry-on toxic traits of the past. This is proof that all the effort we put into our career as women can be fruitful when done with good intentions, strategy and lots and lots of endurance. I am very proud of myself today to have fought my way through all the struggles life can offer behind the screens. 

After having spent almost a decade online building one of the strongest online Instagram handles in the GCC. My Instagram @beinglayla_a with 350K followers and an audience retention time of 3 mins bringing in an average of 60K views on my videos that I share on the topics of Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle. I have been sharing my journey on social media platforms such as TikTok, and YouTube as well, creating content that’s helpful for anyone going through similar things that would love to have a laugh, enjoy getting ready or simply find out about a good lipstick or the best skincare product.

In between these videos, I have always made sure to stay true to my morals, and ethics – having strong belief in growth, change, self-motivation and the power of persistence. For all those years, I spent talking about sensitive topics and my own life experiences. It has all blessed me to become the person I am today and in return has helped many others.
