Hi, I am Dr. Lily Rajbhandari from Kathmandu , Nepal. A country gifted with natural beauty and surrounded by Himalayas. I am a consultant Pediatrician , currently working at Manmohan memorial medical college and teaching hospital,swayambhu ,Nepal.

I completed my MBBS from Nepal Medical college, Kathmandu. As I love children very much , I always wanted to be a pediatrician and my dream came true when I got seat in pediatric from Kathmandu University. I completed my post graduation from Nepalgunj Medical college which is affiliated to Kathmandu University.

After finishing my post graduation, I worked in various institutions . I worked in Nepalgunj Medical college as a lecturer . I also worked in Kanti Children’s Hospital in intensive care unit. It is the only government children’s hospital of my country.

Currently I am working in Manmohan memorial medical college and teaching hospital as a consultant Pediatrician . I am determined to provide excellent service and care to children, listening to parent’s concerns about their children and overall treatment. My institute has got all facilities where I can always improvise my skills everyday. My institution has always encouraged me to work hard with passion so that I could treat my patients under very stressful situation like covid 19 pandemic .

I was overwhelmed with joy and felt much privileged when I received recognition from Women Icon and won the title of ‘Emerging Pediatrician with outstanding performance '. It is the best platform for women like us to show our achievement earned with hard work to the world. It further motivates us to work even harder and reach new heights in career.

I would like to thank Women Icon Powered by Times women and World Women Council for selecting me to get such a prestigious award and giving opportunity to get myself and my country to get recognition in the world.

It has motivated me to improvise myself as a skilled pediatrician as well as a good human being and to get recognition as a hard working person.
