I'm Malintha Kumareen Fernando. My journey as an IT professional started as a Trainee Systems Analyst and  my interest in software solutions gave me the passion to continue my career in the field of IT. I became a Business Partner at the age of 23. 

Introducing new digital platforms to the market is my passion. Getting life changing products into the hands of my customers is my Forte. Empowering my teams to do the above provides me with enormous gratification.

Being the CEO Founder of RapidM3, I have the privilege of indulging in my goals.

I have held a number of senior management positions in Sri Lanka and overseas in the capacity of Project Manager, Head of Sales, Head of Products, Consultant, Director, Executive Director over the past 20 years.

I had the opportunity to provide solutions to multiple industries such as Insurance, Banking, Education, Automotive, Retail and sales etc. The above has given me tremendous knowledge of the market requirements. The first loan payment Gateway for the largest savings Bank was launched in Sri Lanka with my leadership. Many other products for the Insurance sector such as Assessor and Call Center Applications, E Motor , Travel Applications were also introduced by me.  In the event of providing solutions to my customers I work in Business Process Re-Engineering as well. Developing the First Mobile TV platform in Sri Lanka is also a milestone in my career. Furthermore it has given me knowledge on streaming platforms.

Tuto is the core product of RapidM3 which was developed as an m- learning platform one step beyond e learning. Tuto has its multitenancy architecture to handle multiple universities and users. VN is  a customized version of Tuto which facilitates over 1,200 schools and more than 1 million users in the platform. As a result, we have been able to provide a digital arm for all the schools which can be run separately.

I own the concept of this flagship product and I have the best team of Architects, Engineers, Developers who support and are committed towards proving a successful product.

Apart from my career interests I enjoy listening to music, reading novels and watching romantic comedies. In addition, I have travelled to multiple destinations, and I love exploring beautiful places and indulging in cultural food.

I thank my God Almighty, my loving husband, my parents and friends for their support in making this journey a success.

I am more than delighted to receive the awards for “Dynamic Entrepreneur of The Year in Technology” and “Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award” from Women Icon being an Internationally recognized body.
