Dr. Pathirage Asanka Subhashini Rajapakshe Pathiratne has bagged Outstanding Work in Healthcare Industry Award

I am Dr. Asanka Pathiratne from Colombo, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is known as the pearl of Indian Ocean. I am a senior medical officer currently working at Ninewells Hospital PVT LTD, Sri Lanka.

I have completed my MBBS in faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya . and completed MCGP (SL) ,MRCGP Int Part 1 to practice as a general practitioner in Sri Lanka.

I have worked in Base Hospital, Panadura Sri Lanka where I did my Internship, and thereafter worked in The Family Planning Association in Sri Lanka and  Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital, Malabe. 

I my self has carried out research in women health, prevalence of non communicable diseases such as cancers to point out the importance of early detection via screening tests to the general public.
