The road to success comes through hardwork, determination and sacrifice. Success is not a chance, it is the outcome of hard work, self reliance, honesty, patience, tactful direction and skillful execution.

I, Varsha Agrawal a senior Academic In charge in Nightingale International Secondary School, Kathmanduu , Nepal, started my career as a Primary In charge in the same institution in June 1998. My dedication towards the work was recognized  and I was promoted as a senior in charge in the year 1999. I had a great passion for teaching and started teaching English. My work was honoured by the school and was awarded the best teacher in the year1999. Till now the school has honoured me many times for my hardwork and dedication.

As my job was to handle the teachers and students simultaneously. It was not an easy task, but my enthusiasm, dedication towards my work made me successful in showcasing my identity among the teachers, students and parents. I am very much strict towards discipline and so hopes the same from my teachers and students. I love my students and give the motherly care. Being a woman I want my girls to come up in the world and for this I counsel them frequently. The school management loves my hard work.

Even though I am from Nepal, I had my primary and higher education in India I am a distinction holder in my undergraduate. I also took part in NCC in my college and passed my B level exam in the same. I also attended trekking camps and participated in Independence Day and Republic Day programs.

I had my schooling from Bethany High School Bengaluru and was one of the brilliant student. I was awarded in extra and co curriculum activities like elocution competition speech. In regard to sports I am the winner of relay, shot putt. I had the passion of doing something and always wanted to lead. In school I was elected as prefect, House Captain , Sports Captain .I am very grateful to my school , which helped me to showcase my potentiality .

In my profession, I am grateful to be an In charge for more than two decades in the same institution. It was not an easy task in the beginning. It was not the bed of roses to satisfy the founder, parents and to educate children. As there is a saying "Where there is a will, there is a way" with my strong willpower and dedication towards my work I was successful in taking the bull by the horn. I am grateful to the Principal Mrs Ranjana Pradhan, the Founder Director Mr T L Chaudhary along with my colleagues for their immense support, motivation and building confidence in my work. I am privileged to be a colleague of such great inspiration who made me climb the ladder of success and I am forever grateful to them. The most important thing for an employer is environment of the institution. I am very lucky to have a very loving homely environment in my school. We share each others feeling and help the needy.

The Phenomenal award "Distiguished Academic Incharge of the year" awarded by the women icon powered by Times Women is a significant milestone in my life. I am humbly thankful to the team who selected me as qualified  for the award. I extend my sincere gratitude for motivating me to continue having the highest level of dedication in my job.

I dedicate this prestigious award to my family, my parents who are no more but were always my inspiration. My brothers and sisters are my backbone. They always encourage me and feel proud of my achievements. My In laws who never stopped me from going ahead. Their blessings and good wishes always made my path easy. My brother-in-law Dr. Amarnath Chamaria, who always applauds my work.

I am grateful to all my mentors for primary to the higher education without their guidance I could not reach at this peak, without their guidance and support.

I sincerely thank my one and only son, whom I love the most Sushant Agrawal who is always delighted to see my achievements and my husband Mr Anil Agrawal for being a constant support in my career.

It is a great honour for me to receive this special award "Distinguished Academic In charge of the Year" and this is an incredible moment for me. I am on cloud nine at the moment. I humbly accept the commendation. I would like to thank the members of women icon award, who were very polite through the journey of selection. I have no words to express my thanks for honouring me achieve this goal.
