Marcus Divaincy Fernando has bagged Exemplary Women Author of the Year Award

I am Miss Marcus Divaincy Fernando from Sri Lanka, who is reading BA in Languages and Communication studies, in Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University of Sri Lanka. I’ve finished my schooling in Mn/St.Fatima MMV (national school). I am the national organizer of Youth Action Network (YAN Srilanka) in the present. These days I’m working with some NGOs such as Active citizen, Viluthu, MESIDO, AYEVAC, Sarvodaya, SLU, VOICE, centenary moment, Valvodhaya and CCT etc. I have good achievements in several fields. Some are sports, Tamil and English day Competitions, dance, drama, Essay, and speech competitions. I’ve acted some short films too. “Kallile eeram, Sudari” are some best among them. At the same time I was a participant in some Radio programs. In my 22^nd year I’ve published my first poem book named “PURATCHINI”. It is a kind of women motivational book. Sky is the limit for success, so I hope to work further until I reach my best.

I am selected for “exemplary women author of the year” award organized by women icon powered by times women. This is my very first international award so I am so excited about this. I respect this honor as a representative of my nation under the category of “Exemplary women author of the year”. Thanks to women icon for bestowing me this prestigious award. I am thanking whole heartedly to those who supported me to achieve this.
