I started my career in 1996 as a nursery teacher. Then I worked in different schools and learnt different types of teaching like Montessori Method, play way method, vehicle method etc.

But I felt something was missing and many teachers don’t try to understand individual student in the psychological aspect. Because of this many student are branded as slow learners, dumb and lazy. And every school wants to show only the results, in the race the children are not treated as human. They are treated as robots who has to fulfil the wishes of the parents and the school. This made me to think over my career as a teacher. Every school works in different way but the ultimate result is the same, so this made me to think that scenario of the education should change and this took me to open my own school which will give the freedom to the student to select their way of education which makes them get interested and learning becomes simple.

Education is a vast industry,  it can develop a country or destroy. It is the biggest weapon but education cannot be forced into a person it should make a student to enjoy learning and should be given a freedom to experiment different sector. And we as mentor can guide and show them the correct method of learning which will help them to become a independent individual. My role model I’d late Chief Minister of TAMILNADU J.JEYALALITHA. I always felt that she was a single woman who handle every situation in a positive way in a male dominant country.

Mission:

SRI ASHIYANA PUBLIC SCHOOL was founded by DR.BHUVANA SARAVANAN and Mr.S.R.SARAVANAN. DR.BHUVANA SARAVANAN IS A Psychologist, Motivational speaker, Social activist. SRI ASHIYANA PUBLIC SCHOOL is run by GURU RAGHAVENDHRA TRUST (FOUNDER and Chairperson DR.BHUVANA SARAVANAN). SRI ASHIYANA PUBLIC SCHOOL was inaugurated in the year 2015 to ensure that underprivileged children, special children and women from backward community are given education and employment to establish themselves in the society.

 To create a society where every individual is treated equally without any bias or religion or cast.

The core value of the institute is to create a society where each and every individual in spite of their shortcoming should be treated equally. SRI ASHIYANA PUBLIC SCHOOL we see to it that this institute is beneficial in the way of Educational, Social, Cultural, Economical and The Medical relief to the poor and underprivileged and advancement of any other charitable and developmental objects of general public utility and community welfare.

My personal and school priorities are that each and every child in this country should get a proper education which is their fundamental rights. I feel that many talents are hidden in villages in our country. Due to poor economic conditions the children are not able to expose their intelligence and talent. I feel that each child should be treated as an individual and should be given respect and priorities to their feeling, as each child has a unique talent if given a talent they can shine and this objective has helped us in our institute in creating a different education method which is very useful, for differently able children and normal children.

As per my views I feel offline classes are better than online classes, because in offline classes the child will interact with the teacher and students which is not possible in online class. But during pandemics online classes helped the children to be connected with their subject and syllabus.

The biggest challenges and struggles faced by an influential educator in general is when they try to implement a new technique of education, parents and other colleagues see that method in a doubtful manner which make the educator a little hesitant to take the step. Parents compare different schools and try to find mistakes which don’t help the educator to use the new method of teaching, and even the parents are more concerned about the marks than the learning.

Yes, Education is considered a tool of empowerment; we make sure that children from underprivileged are also given the same education as the other children. So during pandemic we visited more than 22 villages in and around MADURAI and provided the children with stationary and took classes as these children can’t afford phone or laptops to attend online classes.

Education field is a very vast field; those who want to step into these should learn new things, should be ready for criticism and should be ready to take innovative step to develop the institute.

SRI ASHIYANA PUBLIC SCHOOL has been striving for the past eight years to give quality education in very lower cost to underprivileged kids and kids who can’t afford to pay the fees. Our aim is to open branches all over TAMILNADU that too in the villages where schools are very rare.

I am really delighted to receive “Most Socially Responsible Company Of the Year Award”, as this gives me a recognition of power and strength for women.
