Barsha Baral has bagged Senior Manager| System & Process Compliance

Ms. Baral is a young and dynamic Chartered Accountant, member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN)and with professional experience of more than 7 years in business advisory, strategic planning, financial services, local and international taxation and assurance services in different public/ private sectors and international agencies. She has completed Bachelors in Business Studies from Tribhuwan University, Nepal. She also possess the certification of Diploma in IFRS from ACCA, UK.

She is currently working as a Senior Manager in CG Holding, Chaudhary Group on System and Process Compliance where she is working closely with the business review cell and working on implementing process improvement best practices. Previously she has worked as Chief Finance Officer in a hydropower company with multi-million dollar FDI. Having keen interest in taxation and corporate laws, she has also been serving as a Resource Panel for Corporate Laws for CA students and as a tax expert in various tax talk forums.

Born and raised in Kathmandu, Ms. Baralhas always been, since very young age, standing up for equity and inclusions. Without becoming subservient to anyone we can still reserve our right to be able to say what we think is right and to defend our arguments but it is really important to always fight arguments and never the people. She believed that the key to successful leadership is influence, not authority. As a speaker in various professional and personal platforms she firmly presented her belief in hard work and how hard work helps you achieve anything in life. She believed herself to be a team player by heart and has the ability to persuade others to perform exceptionally in achieving better outcomes.

On bagging the title of “Young Woman Leadership Award" from Women Icon powered by Times Womenand World Women Council, she says “I am pleased, honored and humbled to accept this award and would like to take time to thank Women Icon Awards. As a firm believer of rewardsbeing the opportunity to do more, this award has helped me energize myself from within to do better and be better in future. Along with my qualifications, it is the positive attitude and growth mindset in me that has helped me succeed in life till now and that will help me for all the upcoming opportunities yet to unwrap as I believe we should strive to make ourselves learning machines, always seeking better ways of doing things.”
