Ms.waruni shashiprabha has bagged MLM Entrepreneur of The Year

I am Waruni Shashi Prabasha, the only female representative on the board of directors of Sonrich Asia (Pvt) Ltd. After my secondary education, I chose the field of engineering for my tertiary education. Consequently, while working in the field of "engineering," I expanded my focus towards "marketing," and through that, I was able to connect with this institution and thus have been a part of it for six as of right now.

Women excel in almost all educational spheres of today’s society; it is women who pass mostly all of the Sri Lankan scholarships; it is women who pass the ordinary and secondary level examinations with exemplary results and get selected to universities with high ranks. Yet, these women do not get the opportunity to follow careers and get employed through this knowledge and educational status as a result of their family lives, social norms, and female disadvantage.

I needed to be the epitome of the idea that women are strong and capable, and I wanted to show the world just how strong-willed women can be by breaking the glass ceiling and the discriminatory social barrier that women are stuck in, step by step with "Sonrich" as I stepped into the world of multi-level marketing.

When I started my journey in this field, there was little to no female participation. Yet, what I wanted was to develop this field during the course of my career path, and as a result, I was able to become a director and shareholder in a large local company like "Sonrich Ashia."

With the prevailing situation in Sri Lanka, our company has been able to provide families with some financial strength, and not just the family background, but our company has been able to bring foreign exchange to our country as well. And we are honored to say that we have been able to give people the strength to face the world with a bright and innovative vision. 

Through Sonrich Ashia, I have been able to set an example for women in Sri Lanka and around the world to come forward and join the country's workforce, empower the home environment for women, and contribute to the economy and society. These are some things that I am humbly proud of.

With many years of experience and a visionary board of directors, Sonrich Asia is now a strong contributor to the people and economy of the country.

Through my company, we intend to provide our consumers with the important factor of health. Through our company, we sell a number of specialty products that are exported to twelve countries. We provide solutions to control a number of non-communicable diseases such as obesity, cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease, which have become major problems in the world as of now. Our company has also contributed a number of products to the community to enhance immunity and delay premature aging.

Through "Sonrich Asia," I have been able to guide women in society as a whole, women who want to move forward in the economy, and men who can further advance and contribute to the economy. In the meantime, I was able to complete NVQ Level 4 HAIR, BEAUTY, AND BRIDLE in the beauty culture field and to complete "City & Guide Hair 2-3" and "Beauty 2-3" and step up my qualifications step by step by studying NVQ Level 5 and cosmetology.

At present, I am doing an exciting job of serving in this society to uplift people as a certified soft skills trainer, a certified trainer, and a certified personal development trainer. Having explored knowledge in the field of "multiple levels," today I am working as a "certified trainer," an "inspirational coach," and a motivational speaker.

So, my heartfelt thanks for this encouragement from Women Icon, powered by the World Women's Council, to further strengthen and appreciate my efforts. As women in particular, we are less likely to be praised for what we do on a daily basis and what we do in the economy.

Meanwhile, with the No. 1 Women Leadership Excellence Award as well as the MLM Entrepreneur of the Year and Women Entrepreneur Award, I see this recognition as a tribute not only to me personally but to the entire generation of women in this society. Definitely more women will be encouraged through this.
