Vindya Perera is a gemologist with an explicit taste in gems. Living on an island dubbed "the Island of Gems,” she was raised amongst people of rich culture and big hearts. She was exposed to the magic of Sri Lankan gems very early in her life. Finding immensely talented people from all walks of life has shaped her to be what she is today. Every experience has made her sharp and well acquainted in the world of gems, with every facet telling a story about a woman who has found her calling and passion in precious stones.

Understanding the process of turning a piece of rock into a precious stone, Vindya has immense respect for people in her trade for their talent. She has come to value the art of custom gem cutting through its laborious process and long hours of intense focus. Although Sri Lanka is known the world over for its gems, the people behind each gemstone are often underrated and neglected. Vindya, as a certified gemologist, aims to give credit where credit is due by treating every employee at Lustre with the utmost respect and recognition they deserve. She has helped them rise beyond their capabilities and live a fulfilling life.

Ms. Vindya Roshani Perera established Brilliant Cuts (PVT) Ltd in 2016, and within 6 years, it had grown to employ 120 staff, including 60 gem cutters. The company prides itself on maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by producing one of the best-cut and polished gemstones in the market.

With a strong passion for bringing nothing but excellence to the wider market and the determination to uplift the gem and jewelry industry with innovation, Brilliant Cuts (PVT) Ltd. has been showing success at introducing a new outlook to the Sri Lankan lapidary industry with the unconventional creative direction of two dedicated women whose goal is to surpass the standards of the traditional Sri Lankan lapidary industry.

Vindya Perera, the managing director of Brilliant Cuts (PVT) Ltd, together with the unwavering support of her mother and director of the company, Mrs. Malani Polgampola, has been successful in bringing our roots in the Sri Lankan gem and jewelry industry into the limelight. As a result, in a short span of five years, she was able to claim many victories and awards.
