Overview

Ever since I was a child, I have been a girl who always likes to dress well.I believe dressing well is very important, and if we look good, people around us will be happy.

When I grew up, I wanted to be many things, but I became a teacher. I enjoy creating art too.Later, I started making my own dresses and those for my friends too. I found happiness in the work I do every day. That's when I started determined to build a fashion brand of my own while following my heart, and here I am today, doing the things I love.

Fathimath Haleem (Chompy) has been a living legend among lovers of beauty and creativity. After completing her secondary education at English Preparatory and Secondary School, her biggest passion is "helping women to be beautiful every day, wearing clothes I design and bring to life." "I love beauty, and I want every woman to showcase it."

Chompy, by the name by which she is known among her fans and friends, began her actively self-motivated art of tailoring after completing her secondary school education.

She was also a teacher by profession at one of the leading schools in the Maldives, and she was well-loved by the primary school children.

Chompy is a self-taught dressmaker and has incredible talent for creating her own designs.

Chompy has been the talented little girl who stitched her own dress for her 15th birthday and makes herself an outstanding young seamstress.

Her leadership roles in school have made her a leader as well, among her group of friends. She has been President of Dhivehi Literary Club and was also captain of a house in school.

She also participated in a recent high-profile art competition organized by the Maldives Tourism Ministry. She presented eight of her carefully designed and tailored dresses at the Faruma show, a very popular show in the Maldives, and gained a number of fans.

Many prominent women of the Maldives choose her as their fashion designer and see her as a very reliable friend. She creates a range of beautiful dresses for many Maldivian women living abroad while she resides in Sri Lanka.

Chompy made her mark in the fashion industry when she gave her first interview to The Big Issue magazine. She has remained as beautiful as her dresses throughout her life by taking good care of herself through yoga and exercise.

Today, Chompy stands as a well-loved highly appreciated fashion designer, painter, and seamstress herself, while leaving behind her footprints in the field of teaching young children.

Chompy's designs are admired by people from all walks of life who love to be trendy.

 Chompy’s brand

Chompy's signature aesthetic and keen eye for detail combine progressive and hand-made techniques, resulting in "CHOMPY's collections," which feature fantastic haute couture pieces.

Chompy on social media

Chompy has always been very active on social media, and she posts some of her works for her admirers.

Chompy’s posts are well liked and viewed by many.

Her strong passion for creativity is very visible in her posts.

Chompy the Artist

"What I love most about art is creating color." Colors are important to me; yellows bring sunshine to me, like having my curtains open on a bright sunny day. When I make art, it makes me feel so good. I hope my art makes other people feel wonderful too.

I want to inspire people. Art is woven into my dressmaking and design. I also enjoy teaching the techniques I know to those who want to learn to play with colors and make art of their own using their imagination. To those of you who want to pursue a dream, I would like to say, "Don’t give up; keep working to achieve your dream by being patient, striving, and waking up every day to make things happen."
