Overview

My name is Mubeena and I was born on 15/05/1998 in Colombo Sri Lanka. During my childhood I had a interest with make up and into fashion, but due to my family situation I was not able to continue education after my secondary school. As I lost my father my mother could not afford the expenses as a single parent hence I worked my teenage days In a tea factory to earn enough to afford for the course that is related to my field. I worked hard days and nights without rest  or holidays.

I wanted to follow my dreams and find career in my interest. In the year 2014 I followed a course in relation to bridal makeup, with the knowledge I gained I opened my very own salon in small scale in the year of 2016 Additionally I worked in the field of modeling to keep up with my expenses until I had a financial stability created by my saloon . I successfully built it it to a level where I was recognized for my talent and my style of work.

My salon and scope of interest grew with the passing years until the pandemic hit us. We touched the rock bottom as the long lockdown affected the business as weddings or large gathering were banned  we had no choice except to shut down the saloon  I built throughout he years as I could not keep up with the expenses without any income.

In the year 2021 i adopted to the situation and took the risk of visiting the client’s residence to cater their need until I was able to reopen a salon and gain what I lost even though I was heavily pregnant. I was certain on my goal to reopen my saloon in a bigger better scale and take up business to a better step. My husband Uvaish and my mother stood beside me throughout my hardship  and guided me towards my success. Helped me with my confinement and postpartum.

Today I stand here proudly with my very own venture Styles and Mubi where I cater young minds with my knowledge  and teach them the trick and tips I followed through to my success.  I owe this success to non other than the god Almighty, my husband Uvaish and my mom. I pray that in the coming years I keep up with my hard work to build up my career  and encourage young women to persuade  their dream no matter how hard it would be. I  want to be an inspiration for those who wants to follow their dreams.

Thank you for the recognition and Women icon powered by times award, as this opportunity is not just a recognition for myself but for the young minds who have great dream yet have doubts in following their dreams as they are afraid of failures. I wish to a be a step stone for others success.
