Thank you so much for giving this opportunity to speak about myself

I am Mrs. Murali Indumathi I born in 27th of May 1990 in Chankalady my father name is Mayilipodi. My mother name is Rebathi. I have one elder sister, two young brothers and three young sisters.

We were very poor family and we struggled because of war in Sri Lanka.

I had completed my advance level in Chankalady Central College. Due to my family situation I couldn't continue my studies further more.

However I believed myself and I followed the beauty courses, cake making causes and Sewing/ tailoring courses with the help of some free education organisation. During that time our family were struggled lot even we were difficult to get one time meal also.

I got scholarship and I continued to follow the beautician courses after so many struggle and pain.

I decided to open the beauty parlor. I got borrowed the money from some friends and opened the beauty parlor in 2015 after that in 2016 I started cake Icing work in home. During the time I had been doing house mate work also.

I married in 2019 and he is my life partner and he has been giving lot of support until now.

He helped me to open the Indu cake house and academy in chenkalady.

I started tailoring course and I started to teach tailoring to very poor people who are struggling to run their family this service is filling my heart

My future aim is I would like to teach for people with special needs and make them stability in the society also I like to give them job opportunity

Now I am a treasure of Batticaloa Beautician association. Also I am the owner of Indu beauty parlour and academy, Indhu cake house and academy, Indhu Stitching mini garment

I am proud to say that, I have to tank my husband who is continuing the support and still pushing me to continue the study and he is my backbone.

I had been doing the housemate work but I am giving lot of work to Poor people and I will continue to support in future as well.

I am proud to get this award in front of lot of country friends, also this is great motivation for my future and great gift for my hard work.

I would like to thank women ICON for choosing me and I wish them to continue to encouraging all the hard working women in the world.
