I hold a bachelor’s degree in commerce with additional certifications being a Certified Sarbanes Oxley Expert (CSOE) and CA Inter (IPCC) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (“ICAI)” with over seven years of experience in the field of Internal Audit and Financial Advisory (IAFA). I craft a rather unusual journey to being a manager at one of the leading consulting firms. With approximately 7+ years of experience in the field of Internal Audit and Financial Advisory, I paved my way to success despite being a semi-qualified in my field.

My journey to life has been interesting in a way that I was always called out for not being able to complete the final course. One day, my phone rang announcing an interesting job opportunity in one of the leading professional advisory firms and that changed my life completely.  I got out of my night suit and jumped into power suits to be a Senior Associate in the department of Internal Audit and Financial Advisory.

I have never halted since then; I was time and again questioned on not holding a degree, yet I held my chin up high and focused on working hard. I gave utmost importance to my job and my clients, ensuring I put in a 100% in everything I do and here I am happy and passionate about my job.  This joy ride of being called out for not being good enough to being a manager in one of the leading professional advisory firms has been incredible and this is JUST THE BEGINNING! I intend to inspire every individual who were once called and treated like a nobody to believe and just keep moving ahead in life. It is time we mute all the bad thoughts and play this melody of success on loop.

I have over the years provided audit services to clients across varied industries i.e., Consumer Products and Services, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Engineering and Scientific Consulting, Retail Company specializing in Home Improvements and Real Estate and Construction. Key areas of expertise being risk management, designing integrated control frameworks, risk based internal audits, process reviews, process improvements, evaluating internal control systems and procedures and documenting Standard Operating Procedures. I, with my positive attitude and utmost passion towards my career choices ensured providing value added services to the clients.
My vision for the next 5 years includes providing a strong platform to the women in the field of finance to network and expand their respective learning horizon. As part of the Advisory Women’s Circle, I co-host multiple technical and networking sessions and annual seminars with a goal to collaborate with partners and encourage young women to pursue careers in finance. I have co-authored in writing insightful Point of Views on BPO in Finance and Accounts (Onshore and Outsource).
