Hi, everyone first of all let me introduce myself, named as Dona Imesha Muthukuda who is the Managing Director of Ceylon Campus Sri Lanka. I as an individual possess 11 years of work experience first as a teacher, then as a lecturer at universities, also as an Academic Head of universities in past and now as a managing director in one of the best higher educational and professional qualification provider in Sri Lanka, The Ceylon Campus – Sri Lanka.

Ceylon Campus was Firstly formed in 2008 as a Tuition Class provider in the name of HDI COLLEGE. And then in 2016 as a Higher educational and Professional qualification provider Ceylon Campus came in to educational service sector in Sri Lanka. Ceylon Campus was formed in 2016 with the objective of providing quality education and training to the public crowed who are engaging in college studies to youngsters who are suffering from unemployment due to lack of skills and knowledge in their professional life. We aim to inspire students to become creative professionals and connecting them to exciting and rewarding careers at their young age.

To encourage lifelong learning and opportunities for young and mature learners; Ceylon Campus courses are available in part-time mode with flexible learning methods. We offer wide range of higher educational programs starting from Certificate Program and up to Master’s Degree program for those who are looking for skill and career development in their professional journey.

Moreover, Ceylon Campus also provide professional trainings to those who are currently engaging in their professions to improve their professional skills in different areas like Computing skills, Language Skills, Professional Development skills workshops and camps etc. Ceylon Campus consist of more than 1500 students currently studying with us in different sectors such as Management, Teacher Training, Counselling and Psychology, English, Computing etc. Also, Ceylon Campus consist of 5 main schools such as Management School, Teacher Training School, Language School, Science School, and Short Course School. Best part of Ceylon Campus is we provide Higher Educational Pathways special scholarships to students those who can’t afford for their studies too.

Currently up to now we have given 500 Plus scholarships to students in order to follow different level courses in different pathways. Each and every year Ceylon Campus give birth to 500 Plus graduates in different sector of professional pathways. Also, Ceylon Campus mostly engaged in Online Teaching and learning mode options because even through Ceylon Campus main office is situated in Colombo, Western province of Sri Lanka, It has many students out of Colombo, Western province area. Also, Ceylon Campus provide onsite study options through the study centers of Ceylon Campus which are situated in two main cities Colombo & Negombo in Sri Lanka.

So, I have to say as the Managing Director of Ceylon Campus, we truly value our students, and will do our utmost to care for their efficiency, ability, and performance. We always commit ourselves to serve with quality education for our students in the most favorable environment which can be justified by commendable academic results at an affordable fee along with competencies which may lead their future into a satisfactory level.

Managing Director Story

My Name is Dona Imesha Muthukuda from Colombo Sri Lanka. If I Simply talk about my self I have first worked as a teacher from Primary to Secondary Level, then as a lecturer to University Students and finally became an Academic head then a director up to Managing Director Level. I am an individual who was always interested in the educational sector.

And I always wanted to build my career pathway in working in the educational service providers then finally to become a leader. As an individual what I believe and my firm opinion is we must always start our career pathway from step 1 than coming at once to the highest step, Why I say that is because if we as leaders have not started our career journey from first step, we do not know what weaknesses we have in the professional life, what challenges we have to face, how to deal with pressure in work etc. So as a Leader now in the educational sector I know what I faced in my past experiences how I dealt with them where as now when those challenges come to me, I just overcome them so easily. Being a leader of a company in Service sector handling a huge staff which belongs different divisions is not an easy task but I now strongly do my role because of my past experiences.

If I talk about my family, I come from a middle-class family where my mother and Father always supported me in every step I took in my life. My Father as the founder of Ceylon Campus built its name to a international level and handed over the directorship after only I learnt my first steps in my career pathways because he knew I am ready to manage his company then.

We are a small family consist of My Mother, Father. Sister, brother and I. So Truly I must mention this If I am in this level today s very strong women it’s because of my mentor it’s my father and my strength my mother and my supporter’s brother and sister. Also, I must mention one special person of my life who supported me through out my journey he is my husband, in my professional career pathway if I was goanna loose anywhere, they motivated me up and said you can do this. I thank so much here.

I studied at Sussex College – Sri Lanka which is an English medium school, and then After my high school I completed my Higher Educational and Professional Qualifications up to the highest level. Also I have won many awards BEST HEAD MISTRESS 2014 / BEST LECTURER OF THE YEAR 2015/ BEST EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 2018/ BEST LEARDERSHIP APPRECIATION AWARD 2023-at CEYLON CAMPUS GRADUATION CEREMONY 2023 for my hard work.

Life was never a smooth journey for me I first stepped in to my career pathway as a Teacher to Teach Primary students, Then I became sectional head of the primary section, then a secondary teacher and secondary school sectional head. After that I worked as a lecturer in universities and in Ceylon Campus as well, after that firstly I joined Ceylon Campus as a Director of all programs and Head of Academic Department. With so much experience I became the Managing Director of Ceylon Campus Sri Lanka.

Finally, I must say I am A HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS ALMOST 11 YEARS OF WORKING EXPERIENCE AS OF NOW IN EDUCATIONAL SERVICE SECTOR AND HAVE A STRONG LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS; EFFECTIVE TEAM BUILDER; PROVEN CAPABILITY IN STRATEGIC WORK; SUCCESSFUL DELIVERER OF PROFIATBLE GROWTH IN THE COMPANY.I ALSO WORK HARD FOR LONG TERM SUCCESS OF MY COMPANY ALONG WITH A STRONG COMMUNICATION WITH MY TEAM NOW.

Sharing my Happiness on the Recognition

I am very glad to share my happiness of our Ceylon Campus being recognized to the title of “Women Icon Powered by Times Women”. Through out this journey it was not easy many challenges were there to pass over and achieve these moments to cherish. Receiving an Award is more than just a mere accolade; It signifies that others have recognized the value of your contribution to the world. It also boosts the self-confidence and serves as a reminder that our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Such recognitions can be driving force, inspiring me to strive for even greater achievement’s along with my Campus in the future.
