Shakti Chhabra Has Won Women Inspiring Personality Award

“I believe we all need to always keep being ourselves, and not to confirm to the society’s definition of how we should be” says SHAKTI CHHABRA – International Ambassador Miss & Mrs Glamorous Plus Malaysia.

Coming from a multicultural nation – Malaysia and having friends and colleagues from all walks of life I believe beauty gets attention, but personality gets the heart. It’s the personality that defines us, not looks. A beautiful appearance will last a few decades, but a beautiful personality will last a lifetime. Living by this statement, I’m truly grateful and thank “Women’s Icon powered by Times Women” for selecting my profile and honouring me with an award closest to who I am, “Inspiring Personality” award. This marks as a recognition of my work, inspiring and empowering young women throughout my life.

BIO:

SHAKTI CHHABRA, age 40, born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is an Early Childhood Educator and Montessori trained teacher holding her diploma from London Teachers Training College. Her love for children is the motivation to keep her going in this industry since 2015. She is currently attached to My Kiddyland Taska as a Senior Lead teacher (Lunix Education Group), situated in Taman Sri Bintang, Segambut, KL. Over the years she has taken up several courses and involved in trainings to always upgrade herself in the early Childhood Industry. She oversees proofreading all lesson plans prepared by teachers in her branch and granting approval for all written comments to be uploaded for parents viewing.

Alongside her profession, she was crowned as the first plus size queen, for Miss/Mrs Plus World Malaysia in 2021. Her curiosity for the pageant world and her nature of being confident motivated her to enter and explore the pageantry system.

During her reigning period as a Queen and as an ambassador for the same platform, the following year, she was already an inspiration and a role model to many women around her to have confidence, love and accept themselves, celebrating the beauty of diversity and body positivity.

In March 2023, she won the title of Ms Elegance Glam World Malaysia 2023 and 3rd Runner up Mrs Glam World Malaysia 2023. Today, she is the National & International Ambassador of another plus size platform, Miss & Mrs Glamorous Plus Malaysia.  She dedicates her platform to promote body positivity, diversity, and inclusivity within pageantry and beyond. Her charisma, passion, and dedication has been instrumental in inspiring young women to believe in their beauty and value, regardless of their size.

PERSONAL LIFE:

Shakti is very close to her family and friends and credits them as her source of strength and inspiration. She is also a fun, loving and an unconditional giver, always supporting her friends, colleagues, and everyone around her.

LEGACY & INFLUENCE:

Shakti is a source of motivation to many plus-size women. Her journey and work as a Pageant Queen and Pageant Ambassador have paved the way for other plus-size women to feel more represented in the pageantry. Her advocacy for body positivity and inclusivity has changed the landscape of beauty standards, proving that beauty is diverse, and everyone is beautiful just the way they are.
