It is with immense joy and gratitude that I accept the prestigious Women's Icon Award from the World's Women's Council. I am incredibly honoured and humbled to receive this Award, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of my journey with Aisha Trendy International.

The Women's Icon Award is an outstanding initiative that recognizes the remarkable achievements of women and celebrates inspiring females. I deeply admire the vision behind the Women's Icon Award and the impactful role it plays in inspiring and motivating women worldwide.

Running Aisha Trendy International has been a labour of love, and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together with my team. From the very beginning, my goal was to empower women through fashion and make women feel beautiful and confident with my designs. It brings me immense joy to see how far we've come in making that vision a reality.

Following my passion for fashion design, I started Aisha Trendy International in 2019 as a small online operation offering unique and trendy designer sarees, special occasion ensembles, and ready-to-wear casual outfits that embody quality, style, and elegance.

Within a few years, I was able to make my brand a well-known name among celebrities and women from all walks of life, even opening a boutique clothing store in Athurugiriya. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved in the world of women's fashion in Sri Lanka.

Our commitment to quality and style has been recognized through our role as the official saree sponsor for Mrs. Caroline Jurie (Mrs. World Sri Lanka -2020), which has been a key milestone in my business journey.

I believe that this award is not just a recognition of my efforts but also a celebration of the incredible women who have supported and inspired me throughout this journey - from my dedicated team members to our loyal customers and women entrepreneurs everywhere. I am inspired by the countless women who are making their mark in the business world, and I hope that my journey can serve as a source of inspiration for others.

I also want to express my gratitude to the organizers of the Women's Icon Award for shining a spotlight on women entrepreneurs and their contributions to society.

My mission at Aisha Trendy International goes beyond fashion, as I’m eager to create opportunities for ambitious women like myself within our local community.

I aim to expand our operations overseas and diversify our product range to cater to the diverse fashion needs of women worldwide in the future. So, this journey is just beginning, and I am determined to take my passion for fashion to an international level.
