This is Jeewanthi Upendra Marasinghe born on a beautiful island called Sri Lanka. I started schooling at Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa whereas after scoring well for the GCE O/L examination, proceeded with GCE A/Ls under Mathematics stream. Then he graduated from the University of Colombo (BIT – External Degree) and then joined ESOFT Metro Campus Kurunegala as an assistant lecturer in 2015. While I was working, I started my masters (MBA) offered by London Metropolitan University and completed with a Merit.

When it comes to the career progression of ESOFT Metro Campus, I got promoted as a Lecturer, then Programme Coordinator and after that I was fortunate to get a double promotion as the Deputy Centre Manager at ESOFT Metro Campus Kurunegala Centre. 

Parallel to the academic progression where I am fond of lecturing to students, I was assigned to lecture for both IT and Business Management students hence I got qualified under both IT and Management cross disciplines. Also, I was overlooking the academic quality aspects whereas I then got another promotion as the Deputy Head of Academic affairs and Compliance.

As a special note, I should highlight that I am fond of handling both Academic and administrative tasks together which strengthen me and enhance my skills such as Leadership, Team spirit, Problem solving, Tolerance, patience etc. As a special achievement and recognition, I won the “Outstanding Division Performance Award” in the Annual Diploma Awarding Ceremony of ESOFT METRO CAMPUS in 2017. 

I was fortunate to publish my 2 research articles under two separate conferences namely, ICSUSL 2019 - 7 ^th International Conference of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and IIARP - Bangkok Conference.

I have participated in relevant training during my career such as, BTEC Internal Verification and Standardisation training from (Pearson,UK) / Trained Internal Auditor - ISO / BTEC HND Programme Delivery Workshop are some of them. With the partnership of London Metropolitan University, I got the opportunity to Work and Coordinate with the Universities and Awarding bodies regarding the Quality aspects and the Academic standards of students. Also, I am continuously participating in the Academic and Quality meetings headed by the Foreign University representatives. 

Since ESOFT is a growing company, we are getting continuous opportunities to brush up ourselves, hence I was involved with curriculum development and faced Live TV programs as a representative. 

With my administrative and institutional abilities, I would like to perform Administrative/ Managerial level responsibilities also aligning my knowledge for the Social responsibilities as well. I possess outstanding leadership, interpersonal, entrepreneurial and communication skills while having key strengths as a quick learner who strives for excellence. In addition to that I would like to utilize my lively and energetic attitude to share my knowledge and experience while upgrading career prospects in the field of education, social work. 

I recently got to know about the women’s icon awarding ceremony and I am very delighted and honored to declare that I got selected for an award under Leadership category, which I believe is a hidden blessing to uplift my life goals. Such recognition definitely adds a great value, and I should humbly mention that empowering women is an essential part in today’s society. We as women, should encourage and provide our fullest support for this type of event and I have no words to express how delighted I am to be an award winner under Women Icon powered by Times Women.
