Hi Everyone, I am Piyumi Costa, Academic Director and CEO of Munash Academy.

First of all I would like to share my happiness of being recognized as the "Outstanding Teacher Award of the Year" from the Women Icon powered by Times Women. Throughout this journey it was not easy, many challenges were there to pass over and achieve these moments to cherish. Receiving an Award is more than just a mere accolade; It signifies that others have recognized the value of your contribution to the world. It also boosts the self-confidence. This recognition will be a driving force, inspiring me to strive for even greater achievements.

Me as the Director  & CEO of Munash Academy, manages a multitude of responsibilities while ensuring academic success of students. I am also into preparation of coursework from Ordinary Level to Undergraduate students.

I have done Advanced Level examination in 2015 in Commerce Stream. After that completed my  Bachelors In Business Management. While being a undergraduate I was working in the private sector as well. In my mind I had the dream of becoming a Lecturer some day in my life, so I decided to do some professional courses in the fields such as Marketing, Human Resource Management and ICT. After that I realized the importance of having the qualification to teach, so I have successfully completed ‘Level 3 IVQ Advanced Diploma In Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning. While doing my Full time job, I find time for Part Time classes and I started to teach Business Studies and Accounting Modules since 2017.

I was able to upgrade my knowledge about the curriculums and teaching methodologies, and started Teaching for secondary and high school students as well.

While doing so, I was able to conduct classes online as well in person, depending on the time slots I had. At the start I was focusing only on Local Sri Lankan Curriculum, but at the moment, I conduct Commerce stream classes for International curriculums such as Edexcel and Cambridge.

2022, was the year which made the turning point in my life as a Teacher. I decided to give up the opportunity of working at the World No.1 airline and decided to follow my passion. So I was capable to commence my own Academy, the goal is to provide Personalized Tutoring experience for Commerce Students who follow Local, Edexcel and Cambridge Curriculums.

Right now I have experience in School level and as well as in University Level. Currently working as a Lecturer for two universities in Sri Lanka, conducting lectures for Modules related to Business Management and Finance.

The primary focus of Munash Academy is to measure the progress of students on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. We provide Study materials and notes to our students.
