Hima – Women Icon Powered by Times Women

Senior Data Analyst | Mentor | Advocate for Women in Tech

In a world where innovation and inclusion shape the future, Hima rises as a voice of purpose, empathy, and leadership. She began her journey by pursuing a Master’s in Finance with a Specialism in Financial Technology from Asia Pacific University, driven by a passion for solving complex problems at the intersection of finance and technology. This academic foundation, coupled with a strong drive for digital excellence, led her to become a Senior Data Analyst, where she now transforms raw data into strategic intelligence driving procurement insights and operational efficiency.

With over five years of experience in data and analytics, Hima has led the development of enterprise level dashboards, procurement intelligence models, and cross departmental analytics tools that enable leaders to make faster, smarter, and data informed decisions. But beyond technical brilliance, Hima’s career is defined by the people she uplifts, the women she coaches, the students she mentors, and the voices she empowers in every room she enters.

Her journey, however, has not been without deep personal trials. In 2024, she encountered what she describes as challenges from all eight directions of her life professionally, emotionally, financially, spiritually, and more. It was a year that tested her endurance, her self-belief, and her purpose. As a woman navigating a demanding career while holding space for others, she learned to stand firm in the eye of personal storms. What emerged from that year was not just survival, but transformation. She turned pain into purpose and setbacks into stepping stones, continuing to show up for herself, and for the women who look to her for strength
Her impact is deeply rooted in lifelong learning. She holds certifications in Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, and Dataiku Core Designer, along with industry recognized qualifications such as the Six Sigma White Belt by The Council for Six Sigma Certification (2025), Managing Data with Microsoft 365 by HRD Corp (2025), and Build AI-Enhanced Data Strategies with AWS (2025). Her commitment to inclusive leadership also shines through certifications like Exploring Gender Equality in Education by the British Council (2024), UK-Malaysia AI Conference by MOSTI (2023), Coaching the Postpartum Client (ISSA, 2023), and Certified Nutritionist (ISSA, 2021).

Hima is not just a data professional; she is a presence on every platform she steps into. As a LinkedIn thought leader, her career and tech insights have reached over 50,000 viewers in the past year. Her content speaks to women returning to work, breaking into tech, or rediscovering their worth in male dominated industries reminding them that technical success is not separate from emotional intelligence, but deeply connected to it.

Her presence is equally felt in global and regional stages. Hima has participated in landmark conferences including Women’s Global Leadership Conference in Energy (Texas) by Gulf Energy, Data + AI World Tour Kuala Lumpur by Databricks, Petronas Digital Day 2023, AI Conference by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the British High Commission, Future Digitech Summit & Awards 2025 by ASEAN, MDX Summit 2024 by MDEC, SMART Nation Expo by EVM Asia, Artificial Intelligence Governance & Ethics Launch by MOSTI, IPCC Symposium by British High Commission Kuala Lumpur, Data Talk by  British Petroleum (BP), Women in Tech Malaysia Event by Microsoft Malaysia, Empower Women in Digital Workforce Event by Women in Tech & AWS, Future of AI Development Forum by Google Malaysia, Data for Breakfast Conference by Snowflake Malaysia

She also regularly shares her voice as a guest speaker in universities such as UCSI University, and contributes as a volunteer and mentor through organizations like AWAM (All Women’s Action Society) and WAO (Women’s Aid Organisation), where she helps young women access career opportunities, confidence, and clarity.

Her guiding belief is: "Success is not just about what you achieve. It’s about how many doors you open for others along the way."

Receiving the Best Woman Personality of the Year as part of the Women Icon Powered by Times Women award is a defining moment in her journey,  not just a recognition of excellence, but a celebration of her deep intention to lead with integrity and elevate others.

“I feel humbled and deeply grateful to receive this recognition,” Hima shares. “To be named among such inspiring women is not only a celebration of my path, but of every woman who has doubted herself and still dared to show up, speak up, and rise. This award is for every girl who ever felt she wasn’t enough, because she is.”

Her story is one of resilience, brilliance, and heart. And as a Women Icon Powered by Times Women, she reminds us that when women lead with purpose, they don’t just change industries, they change lives.

A heartfelt thank you to my sister Kirosha Rani, my beloved mother & father, brother Yayqarhant and all my friends and family who have surrounded me with their prayers, love, and blessings. Your unwavering support has been the light behind every breakthrough. May we all continue to grow, succeed, and shine together.
