I am Prishni Ghoorbin Soodhoo from Mauritius, female mumpreneur and managing director at SM Lights. I also serve as a Light Consultant. I am passionate about my job - I truly feel blessed about helping people choose the right lights. It’s literally adding lights for their lives. I focus on the value I bring to my clients through my professionalism. My main goal is to build trust and loyalty with them. I also advocate for access to affordable and green energy. After growing into three outlets, I believe my hard work, diligence and honesty paid off. In the near future, SM Lights will be partnering with schools and colleges of the East in Mauritius to sensitize students to become strong proponents of an ecological civilisation – all by promoting its LED products and green contracting services thereby sensitizing.

My biggest goal is to build a Light Shopping Tower on a global platform.

Other than that, I am a shopping and travel lover who loves spending good time with my beloved son and family. I have travelled to Italy, Sicily, Rodrigues Island and South Africa. Since childhood, I always wanted to make the world a better place and help people. I always wished to open a school for children with special needs. I also look forward to continuing to inspire and empower women in their professional career. I feel very proud to receive this award of “Women Entrepreneur of the Year” under the category of “Best Women Achiever”. Thank you for this award. I am truly honoured to receive it. It is an even greater honour to be placed in such distinguished ranks. Special thanks go to – “Women Icon powered by Times Women” and World Women Council (WWC) for having the generosity to nominate me. I would like to mention that my son has been my motivation all throughout my journey. Special thanks to Mr Atish Soodhoo for his contribution to SM Lights. My goal is to take SM Lights on an international level. I believe it and I can do it.
