It is hard to put this feeling into words. Nevertheless, I am very glad to deliver my speech on such an important and momentous occasion in my life. . I am earnestly grateful for the recognition to receive this award Outstanding Woman Performer Award; I am deeply honored by Women Icon powered by Times Women for this recognition of my work I have received for my work, because I am very sure that every other nominee for this award was as capable if not more, of winning this award. 

I was born in India, was schooled in America till 12th grade and came to India for my medical education; Completed MBBS and MD Dermatology from a reputed medical college in Chennai, TN and fellowship in Cosmetology from Germany. I have faced several challenges on my way here, but each one of them has only strengthened me to make me the person I am today; a thorough professional who knows exactly what she wants; someone who sets her eyes on a goal and does not lose sight of it, unless it is achieved.

Dermipure Dermaclinic  was started when I almost lost hopes in getting placed into a corporate hospital, as every interviewer  seemed to ask me for prior experience when my Curriculum Vitae clearly states that I am a recent graduate. That is when I made a decision to start my own clinic. Yes, it took a long time with some pitfalls here and there to actually get my name recognized as “Skin Doctor” in the city. After I gained the required experience, I was successfully placed as a Consultant in Apollo Hospitals Chennai.

Being the only Doctor in our family tree; my main policy was understand a patient’s agony and be honest in treatment and be compassionate. Besides my profession; I believe in social service. We should be blessed if we have a roof above us, have a family to call “mine” and if have good three day meal to satisfy our soul. There are many pupil out there who ache for love, shelter and food. Hence I am involved with various organizations to support them and contributing how much ever I can and at the same time spending some quality time at the orphanages. As we all know “A smile is Priceless”  Winning this award would not have been possible without the inspiration I have received from my seniors and my colleagues, for whom I have the deepest respect, and from whom I have derived the strength to challenge myself and perform better at each stage.

I sincerely thank my family ( Mom, dad , and Snaha ( little sister) and my close friends who have stayed with me through this roller coaster journey and for helping me reach a stage where I can proudly hold up this award as a mark of my achievement. I also promise to only get better at my work so that you can see me here for more such awards.
